Jesus Remembers Our Worship

John 12:3 (KJV)  "Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair:  and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment."
This scripture verse is a beautiful picture of worship.  If you're not familiar with this story in the Bible, Mary was a prostitute, and the ointment of spikenard was an expensive product, bought with money she'd earned.  She desired to honor Jesus with what she had, because she believed he was the promised Messiah, the son of God.  She entered into the house where he was being entertained, uninvited, and poured out her worship upon him.  She was ridiculed and scolded for her actions, but Jesus received her worship and told her she would be remembered.  Mark 14:9 (KJV) "Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her."
It is believed this expensive ointment would have been her life's savings, she gave it all;  she came to Christ and he received her, she was forgiven;  she wiped his feet with her hair, representative of her glory;  the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment, her worship affected the atmosphere of her surroundings;  her actions were recorded in scripture, she IS remembered!
